The Highlands Handmade Autumn Fair was a month ago! How is that possible?! Time seems to be dashing past, it’s blink and you miss it. It was a fun day as always, the hall beautifully decorated and organised. Quieter on numbers but still a great day. Thanks Naomi and Nicky! See you in July for the next one!

Autumn Fair

This coming Sunday (25th march) is the Highlands Handmade Design Collective Autumn Fair. Stella & Bea will be running a stall with our new wares and it’s our first event for the year! It was a great day out at the last fair back in November with lots of inspiring stalls to browse and scones to munch on.

10am – 4pm, St Thomas Aquinas Hall, Victoria St, Bowral. I hear the famous scones will be on offer again. See you there!

Market review

The Highlands Handmade Design Expo last Sunday was great fun, showcasing an impressive number of designers. A huge thank you to the very efficient organisers Nicky & Naomi! Stella & Bea met lots of lovely customers and took many orders, so it looks like there’ll be a few late nights of sewing this week… ooh and you can also now find a range of our cards and bunting in stock at Made By Others in Moss Vale.

If the weather holds this Sunday 20th (and I don’t think it will) we will be running our stall at the Bowral Country Markets, Kirkham Rd, Bowral from 9am – 2pm. If it rains I’ll be at home getting a head start on these orders! Otherwise we’ll be back at Bowral on Sunday 18th December. Don’t forget in the meantime to keep your eyes peeled for our Pop-up shop in Bundanoon…

Market days

Well the sun was shining for us on market day. I’m a little rusty and out of practice setting up my stall but I think we did ourselves proud. Mum was amazing and helped me for the day, she agrees with me it’s much faster to pack up! I feel totally at home at markets, like I am back in my territory and that old happy feeling kicks back in.

We met lots of lovely customers, some old, some new and we’ve been invited to have a stall at the next design expo run by Highlands Handmade. This will be held on Sunday 13th November, 1pm-5pm, venue details to follow. This event is by invitation only so let me know if you’d like your name added to the guest list and I’ll organise to have an invite sent to you.

Being the first market back since April we didn’t quite attract the crowds I would have liked but it was still a positive day. So spread the word, the Bowral Country Markets are back on!

See you there next month on Sunday 20th November!
